With the swell peaking and only a handful of hardy souls prepared to risk their rigs (and limbs) in Sunday's much-anticipated "Expression Session", Tabou Contest Director "Marshy" opted to run a surf contest instead.

On offer, a cool $50 for the best wave of the "Session" and another $50 cash prize for the worst wipeout.

While all the boys got well and truly into the spirit of things with some solid rides and an equal number of ferocious floggings going down, one competitor truly distinguished himself in the go-for-broke stakes.

Just as the siren was about to sound, none other than the G/C's own Nick Taylor (he who had distinguished himself at the Alley only days before) launched himself over the falls and into the churning cauldron of the Currumbin shorebreak.

The end result of his efforts? We had a winner! And Nick had a few bucks to devote toward the repair of his beloved 6'2".
